A holiday party in Signal Hill, California, ended in tragedy on Saturday, December 28, when a shooting left a 17-year-old girl dead and six other teens injured.

When officers arrived, they found seven teenagers—three females and four males—suffering from gunshot wounds. All the victims were taken to three local hospitals. Sadly, a 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at one of the hospitals.
The other victims, aged 17 to 19, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the shooting took place at a party, and many attendees ran away when the shots were fired. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau, as the investigation is still ongoing.
No details about a suspect have been released at this time. Efforts to get further updates from the Sheriff’s Department have not yet been successful.
