Trump took to his Truth Social platform to express his frustration. In his post, he called Roy “the very unpopular ‘Congressman’ from Texas” and accused him of blocking “another Great Republican Victory.” Trump didn’t hold back, claiming Roy was only doing it for “cheap publicity.”
“Republican obstructionists have to be done away with,” Trump wrote. “The Democrats are using them, and we can’t let that happen.”
But Trump didn’t stop there. He went on to describe Roy as “weak and ineffective” and said people like him don’t understand how to make real political progress. For Trump, that progress is all about “Making America Great Again.”
Later, Trump posted again, doubling down on his attack. “Chip Roy is just another ambitious guy, with no talent,” he said. Trump even hinted at wanting someone to challenge Roy in the upcoming Texas primaries. “I hope some talented challengers are getting ready in the Great State of Texas to go after Chip in the Primary. He won’t have a chance!”
