Ever wondered how much Evri delivery drivers actually make? A YouTuber named Isaac, who works for the company, has broken down the earnings and revealed that with hard work, it’s possible to earn £100 or even more in a single day.
The Breakdown of Earnings
In a short clip shared online, Isaac explained how drivers are paid for different types of deliveries. He captioned the video: “Can you make £100 a day?” The answer? Yes, but only if you’re prepared to hustle hard... Continue reading here ▶
Here’s how the pay works:
- Collections: 50p per collection, no matter the item.
- Postables: 38p each, even though not all “postables” fit through a letterbox.
- Packets: 47p per delivery—expect a lot of these.
- Standard Boxes: 63p, unless the box is heavy or requires two hands, which earns you £1.
While these amounts may seem small, they add up quickly when delivering large volumes of parcels. Isaac noted that hard-working drivers can hit the £100 mark, depending on how many hours they put in and how efficient they are.
Hard Work Pays Off
In the comments section, one viewer shared how their friend earns over £750 a week by delivering a high number of parcels daily. “This is a nice little side hustle if you’re looking to make an extra £50 to £100 a week. But for those who go all in, it can be great money,” they wrote.
Isaac agreed, responding: “Being self-employed teaches you self-worth. If you want to earn as much as you think you’re worth, then be prepared to work as hard as you can!”
Don’t Forget the Costs
However, some commenters pointed out that there are costs to consider. Drivers have to pay for their own petrol, which can cut into earnings, especially with rising fuel prices.
Evri’s Statement
An Evri spokesperson responded to the discussion, emphasizing their commitment to fair pay and good employment practices.
“Couriers are at the heart of our business, and all of Evri’s people are paid above the National Living Wage. The average courier earns more than £17 per hour.
We were the first parcel company to introduce holiday pay, guaranteed pay, pensions, and parental leave for our couriers. If any courier believes their pay isn’t correct, we encourage them to contact their manager immediately so we can investigate.”
