A Belgian couple in their 40s has been found guilty of repeatedly raping their four daughters, aged 12 to 21, whom they used as sex slaves to fulfill their sexual desires.

On December 30, 2023, two of the daughters escaped on a bicycle and went to an abuse reporting center, where they disclosed the sexual abuse perpetrated by their mother and stepfather, which had been occurring since January 2023.
Medical examinations revealed that the victims had pelvic injuries, bruising, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Reportedly, due to financial struggles, the parents could not hire prostitutes, so they resorted to sexually abusing their daughters.
The mother allegedly brought the daughters from their rooms and provided them with alcohol, muscle relaxants, and lubricants during the abuse. The stepfather reportedly raped them about nine times a day, while the mother occasionally participated.
One of the girls was told that her relationship with her stepfather would improve after having sex with him, while another was led to believe that it would help her lose weight. When the girls refused, they were threatened with being thrown out of the house.
Following their escape, the couple was arrested on the same day. During the interview, the mother admitted her involvement and stated that she was physically abused by her partner and feared for her safety as he pressured her to involve the girls. She also expressed fear of losing him and becoming homeless.
In his police interview, the man blamed his partner for the abuse, claiming that the girls approached him for sexual acts.
In court, the judge described the crime as “extremely serious,” noting that the parents used their daughters to fulfill the father’s sexual fantasies. The judge further explained that when the couple could no longer afford prostitutes, they turned to their own children.
The father was sentenced to 15 years in prison, with the judge stating that he displayed “absolutely no respect for the sexual integrity” of his daughters and stepdaughters.
The mother was sentenced to 13 years in prison for her role in the abuse. The judge stated that she “facilitated the abuse of her own daughters” by offering them to her partner, placing her relationship with him above their well-being.
The court also noted that the mother had participated in the abuse, including performing sexual acts on at least one of the victims.
