A man in Slovenia is accused of killing his wife, who he married in her home country, the Philippines, just days after she moved to Slovenia.

The Commission of Filipinos Overseas, an official government agency, confirmed her death. According to Gulf News, Kocjančič was taken to a psychiatric hospital after his arrest.
Both Gulf News and Slovenske Novice reported that he had a history of mental health issues. It is unclear whether he has been formally charged yet.
Newsline Philippines reported that Facturan-Kocjančič arrived in Slovenia on December 22, and her death occurred seven days later on the 29th. Her death reportedly followed a heated argument.
The couple had been in a relationship since April and married in July. Slovenske Novice also reported that Kocjančič worked as a motivational speaker on mental health and his struggles with obesity.
