Gray was arrested at the house and reportedly confessed to killing Alexis during an argument. The medical examiner found that she had been shot.
Alexis’s mother, Tiwana Schuler, told news reporters that she had warned her daughter to be careful around Gray, who is the father of one of Alexis’s three children.
She said she didn’t trust him. Tiwana last saw her daughter with Gray and said he even contacted her later, asking where Alexis was. This made Tiwana report her daughter missing to the police on January 14th.
Alexis’s cousin, Derrick Felder, said the family is devastated and that Alexis will be deeply missed.
Gray is charged with murder and is in jail. It’s not known yet if he has pleaded guilty or has a lawyer.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them.
