Video from a Ring doorbell camera showed Walker and his then-17-year-old girlfriend, Heidi Dutton, dragging the bodies outside.
Heidi Dutton told police that she asked Walker to kill her grandparents (who had adopted her) because she wanted them dead. She told police that she and Walker had a conversation where she said, “We kill them.”
Heidi first told police that she killed her grandparents and that Walker helped her clean up, but she later changed her story and said Walker was the one who killed them.
Walker confessed that he shot and stabbed Deborah Dutton and stabbed Larry Dutton to death.
After the murders, Walker and Heidi Dutton reportedly spent the grandparents’ money.
Larry Dutton was a retired Master Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a former airport manager. His wife, Deborah, was also a retired Staff Sergeant in the U.S.
Air Force and a former chef. They used to go to church in Kansas, and people from their former church were very shocked and upset by what happened.
Heidi Dutton’s court hearing is scheduled for March 5th.
