Police found video from a security camera that showed Walker and his girlfriend, Heidi Dutton, dragging a body wrapped in a sheet out of the house.
A month later, police went back to the house to check on the Duttons, who had disappeared. They smelled strong cleaning supplies and bleach. They also found blood in the bedroom that Walker had tried to clean up.
Police found the Duttons’ bodies buried in the backyard.
Both Walker and Heidi confessed to the murders. Heidi reportedly told investigators that she wanted her grandparents dead and that it was her idea.
Larry Dutton, 73, was a retired Air Force Master Staff Sergeant and former airport manager. His wife, Deborah, was also a retired Air Force Staff Sergeant and had worked as a chef.
Heidi, who was 17 at the time, was charged with murder, conspiracy, and desecrating a corpse. She has waived her right to a jury trial, and her sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 5th.
