A 12-year-old boy in Connecticut was shot after he threw a snowball at a car.
On Wednesday, January 22nd, around 7:15 p.m., the boy and an 11-year-old friend were throwing snowballs near Capitol Avenue and Park Terrace in Hartford. One of the snowballs hit a car. The car then drove around the block and chased the boys before someone in the car shot at them.

The 12-year-old was hit several times and taken to a hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening. The 11-year-old was not hit.
As of Friday, January 24th, no one has been arrested. The police are actively investigating the incident. They have confirmed that the car chased the kids before the shooting and said that the situation “could have been a lot worse.” They are not sure how many people were in the car.
Police reportedly have video footage that might help with the investigation. They are working to identify the car and the people inside it.
A local business owner who was nearby when the shooting happened said that this kind of violence should not be happening in their community. He said it is disturbing that someone would shoot a child.
