“Today, I urge Americans to act with courage, strength, and the vitality that defines the greatest civilization in history,” Trump declared. “Together, we will end widespread diseases, protect our children’s health, and build a safer, healthier future.”
He added, “The United States will embrace growth once again—expanding our wealth, building our cities, dreaming bigger, and carrying the American flag into new frontiers.”
Trump concluded with a bold vision: “We will pursue our destiny among the stars, sending American astronauts to plant the stars and stripes on Mars.”
Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of SpaceX, was seen applauding during the speech. Musk had previously pledged in 2011 to put humans on Mars by 2021, a goal that remains unfulfilled.
