Police had responded to a call around 11 a.m. about a child left alone in a car in the outdoor lot. The car belonged to the couple, and the child inside was their daughter.
Temperatures that day dropped to 22 degrees Fahrenheit, well below freezing, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.
Police said Wang and Yeung had been gambling for about 45 minutes before the call was made. The couple admitted that the child was their daughter. Fortunately, the little girl was found safe and is now being cared for by relatives, as reported by WPVI, a Philadelphia ABC affiliate.
Both Wang and Yeung were arrested and booked into Bucks County Jail. They were released on December 24 after posting $3,000 bail each.
They are facing misdemeanor child endangerment charges and are scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on February 6.
