In a shocking and tragic incident, a woman lost her life after being set on fire aboard a New York City subway train early Sunday morning.

Police officers, who were on a routine patrol at the Stillwell Avenue subway station, discovered the woman engulfed in flames inside a subway car. First responders quickly extinguished the fire, but sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
Authorities are treating the incident as a homicide and have launched an urgent search for the suspect, described as a man approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. So far, no identifying details about the victim have been released.
