“I just woke up, and my daughter is dead,” Kingsley’s father told 911, according to audio obtained by WXIX. “There’s blood everywhere. I don’t know what happened.
I don’t understand what went on.” He also told police that his dogs were in a cage and not loose when he discovered her.
Cincinnati Police, responding to the scene, turned off their body cameras due to the severity of Kingsley’s injuries. In footage obtained by WLWT5, an officer is heard saying, “I think we’re going to need animal care to respond here to secure two dogs.”
Kingsley’s grieving mother, Gina Smith, expressed shock and heartbreak. “I had no idea my daughter would be around dangerous animals,” she said tearfully. “I would never have allowed that. I just want to know why and how this happened.”
Cincinnati Animal CARE confirmed that three dogs were removed from the home and are being held for a mandatory 10-day bite quarantine.
Kingsley’s obituary described her as a joyful child who loved to sing and dance for her family. “She always saw the bright side of everything,” the tribute reads. Kingsley is survived by her mother and two brothers, Devin and Bradley.
A GoFundMe page has been created to support Kingsley’s family during this difficult time.
