A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Florida for allegedly killing an 8-month-old baby with his car. Police say he left the baby in the road after arguing with a woman in the car.
On Saturday, January 25th, police in Jacksonville responded to a report of a car hitting a child. They found a baby in the road. The baby was taken to a hospital but died.

Police say that Justin Golden, 20, was driving with a woman and the baby when they started arguing. Golden reportedly took the baby out of the car and then drove off, hitting the baby. He was quickly arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
Police said that as the car approached an intersection, Golden and the woman were arguing. When they stopped at the intersection, Golden opened the door, put the baby in the road, and then drove away, running over the child.
Police haven’t confirmed how the three people in the car were related, but local news reports say the two adults were believed to be the baby’s parents.
A man who worked at a nearby barbershop said he saw the baby bleeding and offered help to the woman. He said it was a tragic situation, especially involving a baby.
Golden’s next court date is February 18th.
