A man admitted to police that he kidnapped a woman because he “needed the money,” but his actions showed more than just greed, according to authorities.

The suspect, 35-year-old Eduardo Javier Ordonez Godoy, allegedly threatened the 22-year-old victim, saying he would “sell her organs” or “force her into prostitution,” court documents revealed.
“He claims he’s just a thief who wanted money,” Alexander explained. “But in this case, he went beyond that by using a gun.”
The incident occurred early Tuesday morning when the woman was walking to her car at the Acacia Apartments. Police say Godoy approached her with a gun, forced her into her car, and drove about 22 miles to the Camden Apartments in Grapevine.
There, he briefly restrained her, but she managed to escape and call for help while Godoy fled in her vehicle.
On Christmas, Oklahoma City police found the stolen car in a parking lot and arrested Godoy, who was inside. Officers recovered evidence connected to the crime at the scene.
Authorities also revealed that Godoy, a Honduran national, had committed a similar crime in the past and was deported. He now faces an ICE detainer.
In Texas, he is charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. In Oklahoma, he faces additional charges, including unauthorized use of a vehicle and using a firearm while committing a felony.
