Police say he admitted to being involved in the killings of Terrill Lehman, 41, and Charles Webster, 46. Both men were reported missing in December 2014, and their bodies have never been found.
Barnett told police that he and his child’s mother, who passed away in 2022, were living with the victims at the time.
He claimed they both stabbed the victims, dismembered their bodies, and threw the remains into trash cans around the city, according to a police report shared by WBAL.
Police say they showed Barnett pictures of the victims, and he confirmed their identities. Reports also say Barnett wrote messages like “I stabbed her” and “I killed him” on the photos.
Barnett has been charged with first- and second-degree murder following his confession. It is not yet clear if he has hired a lawyer or entered a plea.
