A Maryland woman is accused of killing her daughter’s four pets before strangling her 11-year-old daughter to death.

Police were called to a home in Middle River around noon on Thursday, January 23. Inside, officers found London’s body, along with a dead dog, two cats, and a rabbit, according to WWNY-TV.
Dillon reportedly told police she killed the animals to scare London into telling the truth. According to a charging document, she then attacked her daughter.

Investigators said a mark was found on London’s neck that appeared to be from strangulation. Dillon’s 5-year-old daughter later told police that her mother beat the pets with a hammer the night before London was killed, CBS News reported.
When police tried to talk to Dillon, she reportedly acted erratically, making statements about child sex rings, transsexuals, and political groups like the Proud Boys. She also claimed people were trying to set her up, WWNY-TV reported.
Three other children were found in the home but were unharmed.
Dillon is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. It is not clear if she has entered a plea.
