Far-right Trump supporter and former Florida congressional candidate Laura Loomer intensified her feud with tech billionaire Elon Musk on Thursday, following a series of online exchanges earlier in the day.
Loomer, who has been vocal about her demands for former President Donald Trump to remove “Big Tech” influence from his administration, criticized tech CEOs for supporting high-skilled visa programs and hiring Indian immigrants for their companies... Continue reading here ▶
The drama escalated when Musk responded to a tweet by Malaysian far-right influencer Ian Miles Chong, who shared Loomer’s accusation that Musk’s government task force, the “Department of Government Efficiency,” is a scheme to funnel taxpayer money into billionaires’ projects disguised as fiscal reform.
Musk’s reply was brief: “Loomer is trolling for attention. Ignore.”
Loomer, however, did not take the comment lightly.
“Telling the truth isn’t trolling. Read the room!” she shot back, accusing Musk of trying to buy his way into the MAGA movement after previously criticizing Trump. She claimed Musk had supported President Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis while accusing him of donating to Trump and acquiring Twitter (now X) solely to influence immigration policy and benefit himself financially.
“You pretend like you’ve made sacrifices by supporting Trump and buying X, but all you’ve done is increase your wealth,” Loomer wrote, accusing Musk of attempting to gain excessive control over government spending and influencing Congress for personal gain.
Loomer also took the opportunity to reassert her loyalty to Trump, stating, “I’ve supported Donald Trump and the MAGA movement from the beginning. Trump won because of forgotten Americans, not because of billionaires like you who cheered when he was attacked and deplatformed.”
In her fiery rant, Loomer accused Musk of favoring policies that harm American workers and claimed he was aligned with China, jeopardizing national security. She also dismissed Musk’s influence in the MAGA movement, reminding him that “Trump is President. Not you.”
Concluding her tirade, Loomer added, “Maybe others are afraid to talk to you like this, but I’m not. Did I get your attention?”
